Board of Governors
Aberdour is a registered charity, which means there are no outside shareholders and the school’s property is held benevolently. All surpluses are re-invested in the school and the Governors (who are also the charity trustees) are unpaid volunteers. The Board consists of a number of individuals with relevant professional and educational backgrounds so the school has access to a vast amount of expert knowledge and experience. You can click on each name to read short biographies.
The Governors have overall responsibility for the school and are accountable for oversight and strategic direction. The full Board meets regularly and there are specialist committees for the main areas of activity.
